Shevchenko, Usyk and Klitschko participated in Charity Gala “Fight For Freedom”. Over 50,000 Euro Raised in historical Real Estate Charity Gala in Warsaw ahead of Usyk’s title fight in Wroclaw
Warsaw, September 4 – Revetas Capital is pleased to announce the “Fight For Freedom” historical event that took place on August 22 in Warsaw, marking a premiere for the real estate community in Poland. The charity gala, which was organized in an impressive timeframe of less than six weeks, successfully brought together over 150 guests and three renowned sports legends: Oleksandr Usyk, Andriy Shevchenko, and Wladimir Klitschko (by video). The auction held during the event raised 50,000 Euros for three foundations, namely The Usyk Foundation, The Klitschko Foundation, and UNITED24, all of which are dedicated to supporting individuals in need and rebuilding Ukraine.
Revetas Capital would like to express its sincere appreciation for the invaluable support provided by its sponsors, esteemed guests, and supporting partners, which include Patron Capital, Immo Lab, Nikdymo, TriGranit, CERES Management Services, Sheraton Grand Warsaw, EuropaProperty.com and CEEQA.
Representatives from top 30 international companies and leaders from the real estate, financial, and legal communities, such as Mitiska REIM, JLL, AEW, Investika, Greenberg Traurig, DLA Piper, PwC Polska, Cushman & Wakefield, BBI Development, Newgate Investment, New Work, Dentons, and ATP Asymetria, were in attendance.
Oleksandr Usyk, the 2012 Olympic Gold Medallist and current Unified, Undisputed, Undefeated Heavyweight Champion of the World, made an appearance at the Gala to personally express his gratitude to the Polish community for their unwavering support of Ukrainians. Andriy Shevchenko, the first Ukrainian to win the Champions League, Ballon d’Or winner, top scorer of the Ukrainian national team, also appeared on stage, thanking the guests and sponsors for attending the gala and for their involvement. He has been actively involved in supporting his native country since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The event also featured a touching video and a live transmission from Dr. Wladimir Klitschko, who was in Kyiv, the former Ukrainian heavyweight champion of the world, who competed from 1996 to 2017 and held the world heavyweight championship twice, including the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and Ring magazine titles.
The auctioned items, which included among others a personal training session with Oleksandr Usyk, signed gloves, a rare Wladimir Klitschko signature loudspeaker, a painting by Sonya Moroziuk, a vacation in North Wales, a golf game with Andriy Shevchenko, and tickets to any Arsenal game, helped raise the much-needed funds for the three Ukrainian foundations.
Eric Assimakopoulos, Founding Partner at Revetas Capital, declared:
’The night was memorable! This is a fantastic achievement for supporting Ukraine, starting from a bold vision of holding a gala in a full vacation period, with all odds against us. The attendance and the results were exceptional, and we are so grateful to all our sponsors and partners and for all the hard work of the teams at Revetas, Ceres, TriGranit, Patron Capital, Immo Lab, Sheraton, Usyk, Klitschko and United24 Foundations. We are planning to repeat The Fight For Freedom event.’
All proceeds from the auction are being directed to the Usyk Foundation, the Klitschko Foundation, and UNITED24 to assist their humanitarian projects.
The Gala was organized prior to Ukraine’s Independence Day on 24 August and the great heavyweight title defense match Usyk vs Dubois on August 26 in Wrocław. Oleksandr Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois on Saturday night at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland with a knockout victory in the ninth round. He retained the unified WBA (Super), WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring heavyweight belts, the titles that Usyk had won from, and defended against, Anthony Joshua.
